Birding at Torrey Pines Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve A wonderful way to
enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature is bird watching or birding.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve in San Diego, California provides
numerous opportunities for birders because it includes a variety of
habitats that support a multitude of different bird species. This includes ocean,
beach, lagoon, riparian, coastal sage and woodland.
In this short film local birder, Jack Friery, talks about some of the tools and techniques used for birding as we explore the Torrey Pines Extension and point out several common birds found there.
