Exploring STEM Careers San Diego Science Alliance How
do you grow an engineer? Try building robots, mini subs, or wind
turbines afterschool in projects like Botball, SeaPerch, and KidWind.
The Exploring STEM Careers Initiative (ESCI) brought engineering
activities to 100 teachers and 1400 6-12 grade students from 50 schools in 11 San
Diego County districts. This National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant to
San Diego Science Alliance (SDSA) and San Diego State University
Research Foundation (SDSURF) was implemented from 2012-2015. This short
film gives an overview of this project.
