The Goldspotted Oak Borer Infestation California Oak trees are becoming infested and dying at a devastating rate in areas of San Diego County. The University of California Extension is working diligently to educate the public about the early warning signs of GSOB. The public is encouraged to become part of the Citizen Scientist group to help detect these early signs of infestation and report findings to Park Rangers, Land managers, and other property owners. Everyone can help stop the spread of GSOB by not transporting infested fire wood. ©City of San Diego, Parks & Recreation Department Produced, filmed and edited by Jim Karnik Films Funding for this Wild Web Film was provided by City of San Diego, Parks & Recreation Department L I N K S City of San Diego Parks & Recreation Department, Open Space Division |
